I have finished the thumbs up symbol project.Its not really a thumbs up logo but it was going to, but i didnt finish it. So I just saw a logo from an official mac miller shirt, and decided to make my own.I just took the little dude that represented Mac and changed the background. I think it came out good, but it sort of looks like the thumbs up project. I used the same colors, and design.But i still think it looks good. Heres the final project...

I haven't blogged in a while-__- but during this time period I have gave up on the giraffe tutorial because I didn't really feel self motivated into doing it so if I continued, it would feel like a waste if time. Then I drew something up a couple days ago and used it but didn't like the final product so I ditched it too...
But I have already started something new:) I made a circle and I'm going to incorporate one of Mac Millers logos into it and see if I could do something good with it. I'll probably be done tomorrow.

Today I continued working on the undress a giraffe tutorial. It was all good until I got to step 11 I think, and I got stuck because it told me to clear the background but could not because something was selected. But on the tutorial it never said the step between, josue helped me out too but we still couldn't figure it out. I'll see more into it tomorrow. I also drew up a sketch on some hw because I was bored in a class and will use it in the future.

I fixed up the Blue Slide Park Project

Completed Blue Slide Park project

I finished the Blue Slide Park project today. So when I began I used the image of the original Blue Slide Park as reference I made the hills on illustrator and got the background on stockxchange.Then on photoshop I opened up the hills and put the background on a layer under. After i moved around the background and transformed it a bit so the only thing visible was what I wanted. Then I used one of the Dry brushes on Photoshop to draw the slide. Then I used illustrator for the text made the font a path and added an artistic stroke to the path.This is my final image... I believe it looks pretty similar.

Today I started a new project which is trying to make a Blue Slide Park album cover replica. I made a few triangles in Illustrator and put them into Photoshop. Then I put a sketchpad texture as the background, something I used in a typography tutorial, and put it together.
I found a texture that almost looked like the original and put it inside the triangles. I'm going to work on it some more tomorrow.

Complete Most Dope CO. project

I completed the Most Dope CO. project today. It was pretty easy and it only took me two days to complete. I came up with the idea while looking through fonts, I saw one that caught my eyes. Today I continued the In The Air project, it's coming out better than I taught. Well today I added a different hand to represent Mac Miller and I also outlined a microphone. Then I joined them together and made them both black, and added an artistic stroke. I should be done with it by tomorrow. Just need to add anything thats missing or just to make it look better.

Today I finally came up with an idea, and I should start working on it soon. But for right no I got something else im working on. I am going to introduce it to Mr.P tomorrow so I could get some help and advice.So pretty much today all I was doing was browsing around stock photography for the new thing Im going to start in a few days. I came up with this idea while hearing In the Air by Mac Miller on the school bus. Hopefully it comes up the way I see it ill probably draw a sketch or just an ouline. Ill see...
Oh and I also saw the new template fo a T shirt but its a bit difficult to use so ill check out the tutorial.

Yesterday and today I started on a watercolor text tutorial, it was really easy and it only took me 2 days.
I was expecting the tutorial to actually look like the image they used but they only showed you how to make the text not the background it was somewhat dissapointing. So I had to add on to the design all I did was take the same brush they made me use and draw with it. Heres the website

The process went really smoothly, I got inspiration from what Josue was doing and made a little dude. I put in another reference to Mac Miller, this time from the song Smile Back. I actually started yesterday and finished it today. Everything was done with the pen tool and aadjusted with artistic brushes. I really like even if I did it in just two Days.Here it is...

Completed Best Day Ever project

This project was really similar to the Thumbs Up project because i used the same thumbs up to make the design.I filled the thumbs up with a gradient I made and blurred the object.After I did the same with the text by forming the font into a path. The problem I had was finding a background for the logo so I finally took a background that I used last year and placed it behind.I also set the layer style to multiply to darken the colors.Heres the final draft I pictured it in my head a little better but its still good. I also didnt align it because I got over it.

Yesterday I worked on the Best day Ever project, I believe I will be done with it on Monday. Well I made a gradient and put it into everything and blurred it out, usin a Gaussian blur. Mr.P helped me by showing me how to turn font into a path. Which helped me alot.

Today I was figuring out what to do since I finished my previous project. I was making a new logo for Most Dope but i didnt really like it, all i did was get another thumbs up and put some text under it. I then put some lines on the text so it would better, but it didnt work out so i deletd the file. By tommorow I should have something to do. Ill probably draw a sketch at home and design something better from it...

After almost two weeks of working on the Thumbs Up project i have finally finished. At first it was difficult to begin because i had a problem with the tracing of the hand, but after that it was really simple. All i did was find a font that suited the design and finding the right colors. I was going for a vintage look but it didnt come out exactly like i tought it would. But I am still rally happy with the outcome of it. Heres the logo.

Today I continued work in the Thumbs Up project. I believe it is coming out well, I made a few changes to the design, one is making the words circle around the thumbs up. I also have decided to not fill in the thumbs up, but instead to put the colors into the font and the circle around the thumb ups. I'm still not sure as to put the design on a shirt or just leave it as it is. I will decide on that later... I believe the project will be completed by the end of this week.

Today I kept working on the Thumbs Up project.I finally finished tracing the thumbs up with the pen tool and changed the stroke to an artistic brush. Im going towards a vintage look for the logo. The problem I'm facing now is coloring the hand because it is difficult to fill without the fill tool. So I got assisted by Josue to make the swatches from another image and transfer it to my project. I'm thinking of doing the filling in photoshop which would be alot easier. I guess well have to see.
